The Buku Music Art Project starts today, Friday March 25th in New Orleans! The festival kicks off this afternoon with A Hundred Drums and Gø Pnik at 2pm. The day only continues to get crazier from there – with a b2b set from Chee and Tsuruda, Wreckno, Troyboi, J. Worra, Taking Back Sunday, Trippie Redd, Rezz, John Summit, Dom Dolla, Porter Robinson, $uicideboy$, CloZee, Liquid Stranger and Tame Impala. If you aren’t impressed by the wide range of genres that those names encompass then we don’t know what to tell you! From rap to tech house to experimental bass to indie rock to minimal house, this lineup spans every subgenre of electronic music and even into other rock and rap genres. But this has always been Buku’s thing – the intersection of rap and electronic music. No other festival can pull the top-tier rap and EDM talent like Buku can.

Day 2 also kicks off bright and early at 2 pm with Buckten b2b Don Peyote. From there the Wharf stage brings the experimental slow n low vibes with sfam and TVBOO and then slowly transforms into more aggressive bass with Mersiv, Sullivan King, and SVDDEN DEATH. The stage closes off with a major 360 to the minimal melodic beats of Lane 8. Make sure not to miss the rnb and pop vibes on the Bridge stage with Vince Staples and Kali Uchis and also the dark techno queen Amelie Lens inside the Ballroom. The Skyline main stage has acts all across the board with Alison Wonderland, Glass Animals and Tyler the Creator.

The festival itself ends at 11pm every night, but don’t fret – if you want more music there are plenty of after parties scattered around the city to fulfill your needs. Because the festival ends relatively early, Buku organizes after parties called Buku LATE. If you have a ticket to Buku you can get pre-sale access to after party tickets. Tonight, Troyboi and Tokimonsta take over Republic NOLA and Wakaan takes over Orpheum Theater with Liquid Stranger, Canabliss b2b Redrum, Mize, and TVBOO b2b sfam. Tomorrow night, Alison Wonderland will play a house set at Republic NOLA, SVDDEN DEATH b2b Sullivan King and Mersiv will take over the Joy Theater and Lab Group takes over the Orpheum Theater with Of the Trees, Supertask, Potions b2b Tiedye Ky and Player Dave.

Single day tickets and Buku LATE tickets are still on sale! Friday tickets are still available at will call and Saturday tickets are available online. Check out tickets on sale here!

Shambhala Music Festival Drops Inspired Lineup https://festivals.digitalsnazz.com/shambhala-music-festival-drops-inspired-lineup/ https://festivals.digitalsnazz.com/shambhala-music-festival-drops-inspired-lineup/#respond Fri, 28 Feb 2020 21:38:00 +0000 https://festivalcoast.com/shambhala-music-festival-drops-inspired-lineup/ Photos by Don Idio

Shambhala Music Festival just released their lineup for the 2020 season, and it would not be an overstatement to describe the collection of musical talent on display as breathtaking. While most festival enthusiasts will be convinced by the powerful selection of chart-topping EDM mainstays alone, it’s the broad array of eclectic and exotic acts that lend Shambhala its distinctive charm.

There’s more than enough on the list for any bass-lover to fawn over. Arena-filling performers like Rezz and Slander will surely draw the eye at first glance, but the notoriously well-curated festival hides gems in every line of the release. Acts like CharlestheFirst, BTSM and RL Grime will keep the energy up for the head-bangers, while more timid souls might take to the stylings of Said the Sky, the melodic dubstep of Seven Lions, or get weird to the other-worldly tones of LSDREAM and Space Jesus. Cult favorites like Tipper and Dion Timmer are also making an appearance, while Testpilot will be on board to keep the house fanatics bouncing. It would be difficult to fully exhaust the amazing acts on the list, but Shambhala isn’t just about the bass — there’s an emphasis on performance-driven acts at the festival, and that factor is readily apparent in this year’s lineup.

Facebook-savvy observers will quickly spot Marc Rebillet near the top of the page, whose hilarious improvisational social media performances rapidly launched his career over the past couple of years. A similarly novel experience can be expected from the duo of Reggie Watts and John Tejada, the former currently serving as the bandleader for The Late Late Show with James Cordon and typically performing an entirely unique form of live vocal looping. The quirkiness continues with funky brass trio Too Many Zooz, and newcomers would be remiss if they overlooked the old-school vinyl-scratching show put on by perennial favorite DJ A.Skillz.

The festival, which is returning for its 23rd year, is held on the picturesque Salmo River Ranch in British Columbia, Canada. While veteran attendees know that traveling to this remote farm is half of the adventure, what awaits visitors upon arrival is a scenic and mystical landscape that’s ideal for both introspection and community building. The ranch is tucked into a valley in the Kootenay mountain range, on the bank of the Salmo river. The mountains provide a breathtaking 360 degree view, and the river offers festivalgoers an opportunity to take a plunge and refresh each day before the evening’s events, which are not at all as primitive as the setting would lead one to believe – the six stages scattered throughout the grounds are each dripping with personality and individualism, powerful sound systems, and jaw-dropping projection mapping.

Shambhala Music Festival, which has traditionally taken place in early August, has been bumped up to the weekend of July 24-27. Tickets for the event are currently available here for $450 CAD. In addition to basic camping passes, the festival offers numerous lodging packages, as well as the option to arrive on the farm up to three days in advance to set up camp, settle in, make new friends and take advantage of the idyllic setting. Early entry fees are $50 CAD per day, which is collected upon arrival.

Keep up with the latest Shambhala news on social media!

Beyond Wonderland At The Gorge Drops Inaugural Lineup https://festivals.digitalsnazz.com/beyond-wonderland-at-the-gorge-drops-inaugural-lineup/ https://festivals.digitalsnazz.com/beyond-wonderland-at-the-gorge-drops-inaugural-lineup/#respond Tue, 25 Feb 2020 22:13:00 +0000 https://festivalcoast.com/beyond-wonderland-at-the-gorge-drops-inaugural-lineup/ Photos by Rukes

After nearly decade, Beyond Wonderland is returning to the Pacific Northwest. The Insomniac Events festival is well known for hosting shows in California, last making an appearance in Seattle back in September of 2011 with Porter Robinson, Gareth Emery, David Guetta, and LMFAO. The newest installment of Beyond will take place at the Gorge Amphitheater on June 12-13. Nestled above the Columbia River just two hours away from Seattle, The Gorge has long been a favorite for both artists and attendees with a breathtaking view, incredible sound, authentic vibes, and iconic sunsets.

Beyond Wonderland at the Gorge will be replacing northwest summer staple Paradiso after an 8 year run. Buzz for the new event first started when Pasquale Rotella, founder of Insomniac, made an announcement over his Instagram story back in February. The news came shortly after an apparent fallout and lawsuit between Insomniac and USC Events, who had co-produced Paradiso with Live Nation, and left many wondering what, if anything would take its place. But long time fans of Paradiso, never fear – a new era is about to begin in Washington state.

The first ever installment Beyond at the Gorge will feature Tiesto, Rezz, Alesso, The Chainsmokers, Zomboy, Joyride, Space Jesus, Drezo and 60 more artists across three stages – including northwest locals Darrius, Rohry, Hherb, Levitate, Quackson and Mortals.

Camping

Camping is a big part of the experience at The Gorge, allowing Headliners to connect with friends, neighbors and other like-minded souls – as well as seek out both official and unofficial festivities. The campgrounds have also been a space for morning yoga, kandi making stations, and flow workshops. For those hoping to get a little more sleep, there are other campsites with designated quiet hours.

Fox Den (Standard Camping)

Affectionately nicknamed District 9, Standard Camping is about as basic as it comes, but puts you right at the heart of the action. No question, it is an amazing way to meet people, socialize, and discover all the best after parties – sometimes featuring surprise sets by artists.

Bring your earplugs if you want any sleep and be prepared to walk a bit. The campground entrance is about a half mile the venue’s gates. Some campsites can add as much as an additional half mile. This starts to feel pretty long and dusty when everyone is slowly trudging back at the end of the night.

Cheshire Cove (Premier Camping)

Cheshire Cove Camping is restricted to those with a designated wristband. Closer to the food trucks and general store, the Cove features free showers and nightly quiet hours, while still being close enough to join the party in the Fox Den. Biggest perk are the shuttles which deliver you right at the entrance.

Acorn Village (Gold Camping)

Located on the other side of the property, far closer to the gates (just about 500 feet). This is also where most of the RVs park (though there are no power/water hookups).

Castle Crossing (Terrace Camping)

Also wristband restricted, Terrace Camping features beautiful views, comfortable grass, hot showers, real bathrooms, and free coffee in the morning. Best of all, a shuttle that takes to to a private entrance with almost no waiting times. Be quick though – this area will sell out quickly.

Royal Shipyard / Owl’s Nest / Queen’s Ravine (Oasis / Easy Tent / Glamping)

And for those feeling a little fancier, there are several easy camping and glamping options available for purchase. Forget the hassle of packing your tent, air mattresses, pillows and sleeping bags. All of that is taken care of, so you get to arrive to find your home for the weekend waiting for you. Perfect for people coming from out of state.

Wild Horse Camping

Not affiliated with The Gorge, Wild Horse Campground is located just up the road from the main festival grounds. Relaxing, clean, free hot showers, excellent food, and a shuttle that runs to the event. As a bonus, the owners are some of the nicest people.

For over three decades The Gorge has been a host to some of the biggest acts in music, including electronic heavy hitters such as Above & Beyond Group Therapy, Excision’s Bass Canyon, Pretty Lights, Seven Lions, and Kaskade (who has repeatedly cited the venue as being his favorite). It really can’t be overstated how breathtaking this place is. Insomniac is now entering the northwest scene with 25 years of experience on their resume. The excitement for the future here is almost palpable.

Tickets and camping for Beyond go on sale March 5th at 10am, starting at $179 fees for General Admission. Payment plans will be available. Stay up to date by following Beyond on Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram, as well as checking in on the Beyond Wonderland PNW website.

Lineup Arrives for Newly-Truncated Camp Nowhere https://festivals.digitalsnazz.com/lineup-arrives-for-newly-truncated-camp-nowhere/ https://festivals.digitalsnazz.com/lineup-arrives-for-newly-truncated-camp-nowhere/#respond Tue, 04 Feb 2020 22:49:00 +0000 https://festivalcoast.com/lineup-arrives-for-newly-truncated-camp-nowhere/ Featured Photo from Pixabay

Camp Nowhere, a one-weekend event that operates less like a festival and more like an incredibly condensed tour, is coming back for its third year traveling the dusty roads of the Lonestar state. Put on by C3 Presents – the folks behind Austin City Limits, NOLA’s Voodoo Music & Arts Festival, and numerous Lollapaloozas (Lollapaloozae?) – Camp Nowhere brings the festival to you.  The six-act show will play two consecutive days in Texas – Saturday, June 20 in Dallas followed by Sunday the 21st in Austin. In previous years, Camp Nowhere was a 3-night affair, but festival organizers had to drop the Houston show for 2020 after failing to find a suitable venue.

The festival has tended to favor a quality-over-quantity approach to curating their event card, and bookers have seemed to outdo even last year’s powerfully stacked lineup (the top which read Odesza, ZHU, and Gryffin). Everyone knows what to expect from stadium-packing monsters like Bassnectar and Rezz – that show would be worth the price of admission alone. Bassnectar’s reputation precedes him as a brilliantly varied and experimental live show without fail, and Rezz’s particular flavor of hypnotic production has made her one of the hottest live acts in electronic music. Before things get weird, however, festival-goers will be treated with a quartet of equally exciting acts.

William Black’s pop-infused dancefloor anthems are hard to ignore, and his singles Take Me and I Wish are beginning to show up more frequently in club mixes. Veteran producer Jai Wolf’s indie-rock inspired electronic beats have earned him a massive following in recent years, making him a natural addition to the roster. Next on the lineup is the melodic Dubstep stylings of Canadian producer Dabin. Unfamiliar listeners should definitely check out his single In Flames, but it’s also worth noting that he has been tapped for track contributions by names like ILLENIUM, Seven Lions, and SLANDER. Last but not least is perennial favorite Said the Sky, whose eclectic and up-beat brand of EDM is welcome on virtually any setlist.

General on-sale tickets for the event went on sale this morning. General admission to the Saturday show at the Dos Equis Pavilion in Dallas (which just happens to coincide with the summer solstice) can be had starting at $49.50, but for mysterious and unknown reasons, tickets for the Austin event (held at the Germania Insurance Ampitheater) start at $59.50, a premium that could conceivably be attributed to the city’s recently-enacted White Claw Tax*.

Kickstarting the New Year With OMFG! NYE https://festivals.digitalsnazz.com/kickstarting-the-new-year-with-omfg-nye/ https://festivals.digitalsnazz.com/kickstarting-the-new-year-with-omfg-nye/#respond Fri, 10 Jan 2020 21:09:00 +0000 https://festivalcoast.com/kickstarting-the-new-year-with-omfg-nye/ Photo by Felicia Garcia (IG: @fixationphotography) | Written by Mark Apuzzo

2020 is here, brimming with hopes and expectations of what the future has to bring. However, before we get ready to look ahead: how about one more look back at the last hours of the year? For many of us who found ourselves in San Diego for New Year’s Eve, OMFG NYE gave us a proper send off into a new decade. LED Presents set up a massive rager at the Pechanga Arena for us for 2 nights, and it’s my pleasure to tell you about it.

OMFG DAY 1 HIGHLIGHTS

The first night did not go as planned exactly. Anna Lunoe, who was supposed to be playing this night, came down with a serious ear infection. Due to her pregnancy she couldn’t take anything to rapidly help it so she had to cancel her performance. With that being the only thing that went wrong, everything else went oh so right.

Starting off with: Olmos & Sarisuk

Kicking off OMFG! NYE was none other than Olmos. He had a solid set of remixes with a few originals interspersed. Unfortunately for him doors opening and starting time were extremely close to each other so the crowd was still only starting to arrive really by the time Sarisuk took the stage after him. Sarisuk’s set may have been short but his beats were heating up the place. He would set us up with some pleasant pop-house hooks and then knock us down with bass drops that got the blood and the fists pumping, and he was only getting the Bass party started.

Drezo & Madeon

Drezo was next, taking us down a weird rabbit hole of Bass that we would be falling down all night long. His set really shifted us out of your typical house music into his darker, underground style of house. While his set was great, it was a more or less typical Drezo set with some of his biggest hits and some well-selected remixes throughout. Then, Madeon was on shortly after. Despite being one of the typically “softer” OMFG artists with his distinctive electrohouse, synth-pop sound; Madeon still had the arena shaking. We got to hear crowd favorites like “Shelter” and “All My Friends.” With the drops right after, however; he made you wonder if this was the same Madeon that made the original tracks. It felt like he was really throwing down harder than he normally does, a much more bass-heavy set than I expected. Whatever the reasons, it was an epic set that had the pit filled and everyone dancing.

Rezz & Peekaboo

Rezz took the stage next at midnight. True to Rezz fashion, it was one of, if not the, most original sets of the festival between both nights. I think that’s always been one of her biggest drawing features. In a sea of remixes and mash-ups, it’s such a refreshing experience hearing an artist play only their own music. Her unique style of dark, spacey Bass music had the crowd entranced between headbangs. She also dropped a new ID she’s been working on with Zedd. I could definitely hear Rezz’s bass mixed with Zedd’s beats for what’s sure to be a new staple of her club style mixes. Going on right after such a strong act can be tough, but that didn’t daunt Peekaboo from playing the nastiest, heaviest set off the night. He may be fairly new to the scene, but he has shown that he can run with the best. He was the only DJ on the first night to really provoke any mosh pits which was indicative of the style of music he was playing. Peekaboo took us past Bass music into the deep dark world of Riddim and Dubstep, even going so far as to call forth the legendary wall-of-death for his final song. He debuted a new ID that he has been working on with a local San Diego producer that had a real fast, club-style sound to it. So be on the look out for that new track.

Slander & Space Jesus

Power duo Slander brought us back with their heart-moving but bass strong tracks like “Superhuman” and “Gud Vibrations.” The whole place was lit up with positive vibes, beautiful visuals, and deep drops. The crowd ate it up as they played their perfectly curated mix of throwback, classic hits with their own modern-day bangers. While we didn’t get anything brand new from them, we did get a bomb mix of their recent release “First Time” with Seven Lions and Dabin. The last set of Day 1 was Space Jesus, another artist who prides himself in his very unique style of music. Much like our space mom, Rezz, Space Jesus’ music pushes the boundaries of Bass music to new and weird places. Those still going strong from 3-4 got lost in the sauce with our shaggy friend. He played many of his own originals with just a few random remixes thrown in. Each track made you want to headbang and get lost staring into the trippy, visual-auditory soundscape he created.

NEW YEAR, NEW DECADE! DAY 2 HIGHLIGHTS

Based on the lineup for New Year’s Eve, I thought this day would be a bit softer than the previous day. But let me tell you, these artists weren’t messing around with their final sets of the decade.

I See Colors & GG Magree

I See Colors was the first artist of Day 2, starting us off with some classic House music. Although a short yet sweet set while doors were opening, his mixes were fun and upbeat, setting a positive tone to start the night on. GG Magree was second and I feel bad for anyone who wasn’t there yet. Her set? Pure fire. Aside from being an amazing DJ, GG had probably the best stage presence out of anyone at OMFG. She wasn’t afraid to grab the mic to hype up the crowd and sing along with all of us. And she felt much more connected with the crowd by busting out some A1 dance moves as well. She put some filthy drops on some of the 90’s and 2000’s best punk and alternative tracks. It felt like she was paying homage to the past as we looked toward the future. It may have been one of the heaviest sets of the night, but almost every set after had more Bass than I anticipated.

Good Times Ahead & DROELOE

Good Times Ahead brought out the club spirit in everyone. This Miami Duo knows how to get a crowd dancing, and they did it perfectly tonight. Like many of the other DJ’s they played a blend of their own tracks with many club favorites like “Get Busy” amongst others. They debuted a new track as well though they didn’t tell us anything about it. The crowd ate it up and soon it was on to the next. Keeping the duo magic going was Dutch artists DROELOE. Their set didn’t really fit neatly into any one category, blending styles to create a dynamic Deep-Bass experience infused with engrossing visuals that encompassed all your attention. Weaving in and out of spooky low bass and transcendent highs their set kept everyone locked in.

Countdown to 2020: Kayzo

Ringing in the New Year at OMFG NYE was Kayzo. His set was one of the fastest and most aggressive of the night. A lot of what he was playing was borderline Hardstyle, with extremely fast beats, and heavy drops. The music stopped for us to do the countdown in the final moments of 2019 and then as the year switched and everyone was getting their NYE lovin’ on, Kayzo kept the energy alive with more electrifying tracks.

Cash Cash & Said The Sky

Cash Cash followed by Said the Sky were the next two artists to play. Both sets had way more Bass than I expected considering the genres and styles from both artists. Maybe they were vibing off the other artists or maybe they just wanted to go especially hard for New Years. Whatever the reason, it was excellent. They took many of the songs you would expect them to play but slapped enough Bass on there to make you wonder what changed.

Last but not least: VIRTUAL SELF

The final artist of the night was Virtual Self. For those who don’t know, Virtual Self is a project by Porter Robinson that he’s been playing under for the past 2-3 years. For his set, the crew brought out his signature glass floor stage setup with dozens of lights underneath the glass. This added essentially another dimension to the already impressive light show. Lights were coming from every direction—above and below with lights and outward with lasers. Not only that, Virtual Self is another artist who takes pride in creating a set that is uniquely his own. Those familiar with his shows know he can be rather poetic, adding in written poetry to the visuals. He practically makes the crowd ponder about their own existence in this crazy world. It was exactly what you’d expect from a Virtual Self set, and I wouldn’t ask for it any other way.

The decade is over, but electronic music lives on.

OMFG! NYE was an amazing way to kickstart the new year, surrounded by good people and great music. What more could you ask for? As we all begin the new year and a new festival season, I know I will be keeping OMFG in the back of my mind next December!

It is that special time of year again… no, I am not talking about Christmas, it is time to plan and prepare for Summer Camp Music Festival 2020! SCamp released phase 1 of their 2020 lineup and it is looking like the 20 year anniversary is going to be one you don’t want to miss! Of course we get 3 days of moe. and Umphrey’s McGee, but we also get some artists returning to Three Sisters Park that I am thrilled about grooving to throughout Memorial Day weekend. Lets take a dive into this lineup and see who you shouldn’t miss before the next phase is announced…

CloZee

CloZee has been taking over the festival scene the last few years and is only growing more and more popular amongst my peers. Residing in Toulouse, France, CloZee has also been gaining more and more of a following here in the US. She has ben playing major festivals such as Electric Forest, Envision, and Bonnaroo and isn’t showing any signs of slowing down any time soon. Don’t miss your chance to see CloZee at SCamp and hopefully she may have a late night set in the Red Barn…

Houndmouth

An old roommate of mine had mentioned that he saw a band called Houndmouth at In Bloom Music Festival back in 2018. I was fortunate enough to catch a set of theirs later that year when they opened for The Revivalists at Red Rocks (they jammed out so hard for their set that they blew some fuses!). Coming from New Albany, Indiana, Houndmouth brings an abundance of alternative music that makes everyone want to show off their dance moves. Don’t miss you opportunity to jam along with Houndmouth at SCamp this year!

SunSquabi

The trio from Denver, Colorado is returning to Three Sisters Park once again with their Electro Hydro Funk tunes. Kevin Donohue, Josh Fairman, and Chris Anderson are taking over SCamp and are hopefully playing more than one set [just like last year]. SunSquabi has opened up for numerous artists such as OPIUO, The Floozies, and Umphrey’s McGee and has performed at countless festivals such as Camp Bisco, Disc Jam, Arise, Brainquility, and Resonance. We are all hopeful that SunSquabi is going to be the late jams at the Campfire Stage again and look forward to any surprise appearances with a few artists throughout Memorial Day weekend!

SnowGlobe Music Festival

If you’re craving something out of the ordinary, check out SnowGlobe in gorgeous South Lake Tahoe, CA. This location allows you to hit the slopes during the day and the dance floor at night. Don your warmest animal onesie or faux fur coat and prepare for three days of dancing in the snow! It’s a good thing this festival is outside because this lineup is SMOKIN’ HOT. Artists include Skrillex, Zhu, Fisher, Griz, Gigantic NGHTMRE, Vince Staples, CloZee, Louis the Child and Tchami x Malaa. Skrillex took some time off but has recently returned to the festival circuit; I saw him at Paradiso, and he put on one hell of a show. Additionally, Big Gigantic is joining forces with NGHTMRE as Gigantic NGHTMRE for what I can only imagine will be an unforgettable set. Scoop your tickets here.

HiJinx Festival

I’ve got three words for HiJinx Festival: TAKE. MY. MONEY. This lineup is absolutely RIDICULOUS—we’ve got the god of bass music himself, Bassnectar, along with heavy hitters Excision B2B Slander, Griz, Porter Robinson (DJ set), Zeds Dead (baby) and Skrillex. And that’s just the headliners. Coming in hot on the undercard is CloZee, Subtronics (GrizTronics????), Zion I and Big Wild, among others. After parties will be announced soon! This year will be their second year and I have to say they’re doing pretty well for themselves. Snag your tickets here.

Mind blowing as it seems, 2020 is just around the corner and we all know what that means—New Years Eve. The mention of this night creates such a flurry of thoughts and emotions in people. Some are eager to end this year and start over, a fresh year with a fresh slate. Others look towards it with worry and concern, fearful of what the future may bring. But, for us tried and true music lovers, we know that New Year’s Eve is a gold mine for amazing shows and festivals. The treasure trove did not disappoint this year with the prospect that OMFG! NYE provides us with. So here’s why you should be packing your bags for OMFG in San Diego this December 30th and 31st and head to one of the best new year’s festivals around:

Who couldn’t say no to sunny San Diego?

Coming up with your end of the year plans can be a major hassle. You have to decide between so many options: What do we want to do? Where should we go? One of the best places you could spend your New Year’s is in the beautiful, balmy city of San Diego. You could spend your days and nights bundled up tight. Or you could be relaxing on one of the many beaches San Diego has to offer. Plus the weather at a relaxing 67 degrees during the winter? This works out perfectly with OMFG! which is set up later at night from 9pm to 4am. You can spend your whole day and evening exploring what the city has to offer. Then you can return to your hotel or airbnb and have plenty of time to get ready before the show.

Speaking of the show, LED Presents has put together a lineup for this year that will make your jaw hit the floor.

Bass and House lovers will be ecstatic to see headliners on Day 1. There’s everyone’s favorite deep, dark Space Mom Rezz coupled with one of the OG’s of weird, space bass Space Jesus. The “space” theme doesn’t persist through the whole night, but the other stellar acts of the night include a “Good Faith” DJ set from Madeon and the Gud Vibrations from the dynamic duo, SLANDER. The other acts for the 30th include Drezo, Anna Lunoe, and Peekaboo

And since the holidays are the season of giving, this OMFG! just keeps on giving for Day 2.

The lineup for the 31st is just as amazing as the first day. House music, in all its different facets will be present this night. From the Pop House stylings of Cash Cash to the heavy Bass House of GG Magree, edm fans are sure to get their fill throughout this jam-packed night. Other acts include Droeloe, OMFG! veteran Said the Sky, and Good Times Ahead aka GTA. All these amazing acts have made their name in the scene for many years. Any one of these artists could ring in my new year, and I would be over the moon for the midnight countdown artist to be Kayzo or Virtual Self. But let that sink in for a second. You could spend your New Year’s Eve at some Aunt’s house drinking wine, or you could start your 2020 immersed in the captivating virtual audio world created by these incredible artists!

Plus, you can never go wrong with indoor shows during the winter.

This world will be created inside the Pechanga Arena located in the Midway district, just west of Ocean Beach. This state-of-the-art arena is equipped to fully melt your brain in all the best ways. Pechanga has been around for 50 years and has been voted as one of the best arenas in the States, so if you’re gonna go to an indoor show, this is the spot you want to be at. Arena’s tend to have the capacity to produce some of the most impressive and immersive visual displays you can get. Lighting designers are able to work with the whole room not just a single, flat stage so they are able to do things you never usually get at outdoor venues. Aside from enough lasers and lights to appeal to even the most intense visual cravings, their top end sound system will be sure to blow your socks off, no matter how cool they are. There’s not a bad seat in the house, and what better way to start a new year than surrounded by 15,000 amazing people all dancing their hearts out to some of the best music the electronic scene has to offer.

You can’t go wrong making OMFG! NYE your 2020 New Year’s Eve plans this year.

The location is to die for, the lineup is insane, and the venue is one of the best around. What more could you ask for? So grab your friends, lovers, or just your bag and dancing shoes and make this New Year’s Eve an unforgettable one. You can buy tickets here and check out this playlist to get yourself pumped for the party. See you there!

On March 8th and 9th, it’ll be an ideal opportunity to come back to the Great Saltair in Salt Lake City for the 14th yearly Get Lucky festival. Utah is becoming one of the places to be for electronic music events, with Get Lucky as the biggest spring festival in the state. Get Lucky is showing signs of improvement consistently, and with its 14th year in the festival circuits, V2 Presents is anticipated to bring the heat for this upcoming event.

Lineup

The full lineup hasn’t been declared as of right now. Be that as it may, Borgore will feature on the 8th, and Rezz will feature on the 9th. With two artist like these, we can just envision the fire that will be on the lineup this year. In the event that it’s any extent of their past lineups, there will be such a significant number of genres to entertain everyone. We could already be able to tell there will be a huge variety by just by simply tuning in to Borgore and Rezz tracks. You can get hyped by listening in to a portion of their best tracks here:

Stages

In addition, two main stages will be returning again for this year’s Get Lucky. The first is the indoor “Celtic Palace” stage where headliners Borgore and Rezz will be performing, while the second stage is the outdoor “Tent of Gold” area. In 2017, Tent of Gold’s lineup was a dedicated hardstyle stage; while 2018 dedicated its stage to all house music on one day and all bass music the next. What will be 2019’s featured style of music? That will remain a mystery like a hidden pot of gold at the end of the rainbow which we will be finding real soon.
